Nearly 20 restaurants in Sandy Springs are coming together Nov. 8-16, 2014 to give patrons a taste of what they have to offer during Savor Sandy Springs Restaurant Week (www.visitsandysprings.org/restaurantweek). Throughout the week, the eateries will offer lunch and dinner specials to entice diners to try a new restaurant or return to a favorite one. The week-long event is being spearheaded by the Sandy Springs-Perimeter Chamber of Commerce (http://www.sandyspringsperimeterchamber.com), and will be held in conjunction with the Sandy Springs Society’s annual fundraising event, Elegant Elf Marketplace (http://www.sandyspringssociety.org/elegant-elf.html).
“We hope Sandy Springs residents and families from throughout Atlanta will take advantage of the special discounts to explore the culinary community in Sandy Springs,” said Karen Trylovich, owner of A Classical Affair, and Chairman of the Sandy Springs-Perimeter Chamber’s Restaurant Council. “Sandy Springs boasts an impressive collection of restaurants offering international cuisine and American fare, ranging from casual eateries to fine dining establishments. We want everyone to think of Sandy Springs as a dining destination, and hope Restaurant Week will encourage people to try the city’s wonderful restaurants.”
Participating restaurants include:

Several local bartenders created recipes for the beverage in a friendly competition, and one was chosen by a committee of Sandy Springs Heritage members as the official adult beverage of this year’s fundraising event.

“Savor Sandy Springs Restaurant Week is receiving a lot of support from the community,” said Tom Mahaffey, president and CEO of the Sandy Springs-Perimeter Chamber of Commerce. “The Chamber’s Restaurant Council got the ball rolling, and the event has quickly received promotional assistance from the Sandy Springs Society, Sandy Springs Hospitality and Tourism and the City of Sandy Springs, as well as from the restaurants themselves. I think folks from all across metro Atlanta will enjoy discovering the high quality of dining options we have right here in Sandy Springs.”
