UPDATE: Sandy Springs Doctor Gets 25 Years For Child Molestation
Kelly Thrasher, 41, of Sandy Springs fondled a child during November 2012 sleepover at his home.

A Sandy Springs doctor will spend 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to child molestation charges against him.
Kelly Thrasher, 41, also pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual battery Monday in Fulton County Superior Court, the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office said.
The charges against Thrasher stem from an incident on Nov. 17, 2012, in which he fondled a girl during a sleepover at his home. The child reported the incident to her parents, who told the police. Thrasher was arrested on the charges and later granted bond.

While awaiting trail, Thrasher in October 2013 stole another man’s identity and obtained a passport in the victim’s name, the district attorney’s office said.
Sandy Springs police issued warrants for Thrasher’s arrest. Instead of surrendering to police, however, Thrasher fled the state. A tip led authorities to Thrasher’s whereabouts at a Miami, Florida, hotel. He was arrested and extradited to Georgia.
