Dr. Mchayleh Joins Georgia Cancer Specialists

From GA Cancer Specialist: Georgia Cancer Specialists, the comprehensive cancer care leader in the state, is pleased to welcome Dr. Wassim Mchayleh to its Alpharetta and Center Pointe (Sandy Springs) office locations.

Dr. Mchayleh is a board-certified physician in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology. His clinical interests include head, lung and neck cancers. He has a strong commitment to treating each of his patients in a caring and loving environment, as if they were a part of his own family.

“Cancer is a very challenging disease, in a rapidly evolving field with progressive research, along with new discoveries and treatments. It takes a special person to be a cancer doctor,” Dr. Mchayleh said.

He completed his residency at George Washington University, and he finished a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Mchayleh is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, and a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology and the Georgia Society of Clinical Oncology.

Dr. Mchayleh received the Georgia Cancer Coalition Distinguished Cancer clinician and scientist award in 2011, as well as multiple ASCO merit awards. He also received specialized training in the treatment of Leukemia at the University of Texas: M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, and he obtained his MBA in healthcare management from Ohio University in 2016.
