SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Construction crews will begin work next week on drainage improvements in the Hammond-Kayron Drive area of Sandy Springs. Weather permitting, representatives from Site Engineering -- working on behalf of the city -- will kick off the project on Wednesday, July 5, with completion anticipated by mid-August, the city said. Kayron Drive between Hammond Drive and Valley Lane NE will close beginning Thursday, July 20 through Thursday, Aug. 3 as part of construction activities, the city notes. This work will take place between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., and motorists are asked to watch out for contractors directing traffic.
