Drama Students Bring 'Crimes Of The Heart' To Riverwood Stage

The school's adaptation of the comedy-drama will run through Sunday, Oct. 22.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Riverwood International Charter School's drama students are bring a funny, yet poignant, play to theater audiences this weekend. The students' production of "Crimes of the Heart" will run through Sunday, Oct. 22 at the Sandy Springs institution.

The play, originally directed by Beth Henley, is set in the Hazlehurst, Mississippi, home of the Magrath sisters, Lenny, Meg and Babe. All three are dealing with problems of their own, but have come together to await the news of their gravely ill grandfather.

Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults. Show times are 6:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 20-21 and 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22 at the school's auditorium, which is located at 5900 Raider Drive. Riverwood's production is directed by Mary Beth van der Hoek.
