Driver Killed In Crash On GA-400 In Sandy Springs

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Sandy Springs first responders are working the scene of a fatal, two-vehicle collision on southbound side of GA-400 just south of the Northridge Road interchange.

According to the city, the accident occurred when a Dodge pickup truck hauling a Jon boat ran into the back of a tractor trailer.

"The tractor trailer was reported as stopped on the shoulder when the collision occurred," city spokesperson Sharon Kraun said.

The driver of the pickup was pronounced dead on the scene, she added.
