Police Identify Driver Killed In Sandy Springs Crash
The accident occurred around 3 a.m. Saturday on Roswell Road just north of Glenridge Drive.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — The Sandy Springs Police Department has released the identity of the driver who was killed early Saturday in a single-vehicle crash on Roswell Road. Officers were dispatched around 3 a.m. Jan. 13 in the area of 5395 Roswell Road, which is located just north of its intersection with Glenridge Drive.
Cops arrived on the scene to find a red Porsche 911 overturned and off to the side of the road, said Sandy Springs police spokesperson Sgt. Sam Worsham.
A preliminary investigation indicates the sports car left the road after "failing to negotiate a curve," Worsham added.

The driver, identified as 23-year-old Kevin Gerard Austin II of Roswell, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash while the sole passenger was transported to North Fulton Hospital for treatment.
Worsham told Patch two utility poles and a brick wall were damaged in the collision. The crash remains under investigation.
