Eight Businesses Targeted in Sandy Springs Burglary Spree

The Sandy Springs Police Department is investigating the incidents, which occurred overnight Friday along Roswell Road.

The Sandy Springs Police Department is investigating several burglaries that occurred at commercial businesses along Roswell Road.

A total of eight establishments were targeted during the overnight hours on Friday, said Sandy Springs police spokesperson Sgt. Ron Momon.

The incidents occurred at: Valero Gas Station at 5345 Roswell Road; Starbucks at 5610 Roswell Road; Pizza Hut at 6385 Roswell Road; Chevron at 6385 Roswell Road; Taco Bell at 6560 Roswell Road; Canton Cooks II at 6690 Roswell Road; Hinton Savvy Liquor Store at 6690 Roswell Road; and Perk-n-Pooch at 6690 Roswell Road

A U-Haul truck was spotted leaving Taco Bell with its headlights turned off, Momon added.

“The U-Haul drove off at a high rate of speed into a neighboring apartment complex and crashed,” he said.

Several suspects jumped out and fled from responding officers. The U-Haul was recovered with stolen property, which included cash registers, rolls of coins, receipts and other items.

The vehicle has been impounded for processing of evidence and stolen property. No arrests have been made.
