Elegant Elf Marketplace Returns Nov. 5-6
Now in its sixth year, the event raises funds for Sandy Springs Society's efforts to give back to the community.
SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- The Sandy Springs Society is gearing up to host its popular upscale gift market shop, providing shoppers a unique place to knock out some of their holiday shopping.
The Elegant Elf Market Place will be held 9 a.m to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 and 10 a.m to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6 at Lake Forest Elementary School.
Shoppers can expect more than 85 carefully selected local and regional artists, craftsmen, gourmet food purveyors, and unique gift vendors in jewelry, handcrafted fashions, fine crafts, items for home and garden, handbags, toys and more.

In its sixth year, this two-day fundraiser also feature special entertainment and new attractions this year, such as performances from local schools (including Holy Innocents' Middle School's string ensemble), authors, cooking demonstrations as well as a fashion show highlighting clothing and jewelry of the many unique vendors.
Elegant Elf Marketplace Honorary Chair Emily Giffin, a New York Times bestselling author of eight books, will meet fans and sign her latest book on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A book signing by Walter Reeves, radio and television host and one of the most respected gardeners in the southeast, follows at 3 p.m.

Shoppers may also enjoy chef demonstrations by Atlanta’s own Souper Jenny and Chef Yuji Kurimaru of Bishoku. A delicious lunch and snacks will be available at the Polar Express Café, and shoppers may purchase tickets for festive raffle packages of beauty, home, apparel and other specialty items at the raffle booth.
The Elegant Elf Marketplace continues to captivate shoppers from within and outside of Sandy Springs who want to begin holiday and gift shopping early.
“The 300-member Sandy Springs Society works year round to hand select upscale gift vendors from hundreds of applicants, and we are thrilled by the enthusiastic support from our sponsors and our largest presenting sponsor, Northside Hospital," said event co-chair Susan Sutterfield. "Additionally, to showcase our unique community, talent from our Sandy Springs schools, chefs and local experts will take the stage for a full two-day lineup of entertainment, making this a truly unique shopping experience."
All proceeds from The Elegant Elf Marketplace are reinvested in the local community. To date the event has raised over $451,000 for the Sandy Springs Society’s philanthropic grants program that this year has funded more than 25 non-profit organizations in the local community.
Lake Forest Elementary School is located at 5920 Sandy Springs Circle. Admission is $5, but free for children 10 and under.
