Elegant Elf Marketplace Set For Nov. 4-5 In Sandy Springs

The seventh annual event will be held at Lake Forest Elementary School and features more than 85 carefully selected vendors.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- The highly anticipated festive, upscale gift market featuring more than 85 local and regional artists is weeks away, and organizers are working overtime to make sure residents are presented with the perfect opportunity to get a head start on their holiday shopping. The seventh annual Elegant Elf Marketplace will be held Nov. 4-5 at Lake Forest Elementary School.

The popular, two-day shopping for a cause initiative presented by The Sandy Springs Society features carefully chosen artists, craftsmen (and women), gourmet food purveyors and unique vendors specializing in jewelry, handcrafted fashions, fine crafts, items for home and garden, handbags, toys and more.

This year's honorary chair is Peter Kaiser, the award-winning chef and owner of Kaiser's Chophouse. Organizers will also welcome Steve Penley -- an artist known for his bold impression of history and patriotism -- for a signing of his book, "Reagan and the American Ideal," 2 p.m. Nov. 5 (SIGN UP: Get Patch's Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts. This year’s show will also include a fashion show highlighting clothing and jewelry of the many unique vendors. Shoppers may also enjoy lunch and snacks available at the Polar Express Café. Tickets to win festive raffle packages of beauty, home, apparel and other specialty items will be available for purchase.

The Elegant Elf Marketplace draws shoppers from within and outside of Sandy Springs who want to begin holiday gift shopping early, beat the crowds and skip shopping at the mall. Sandy Springs Society President Elizabeth Kelly said volunteers have been working all year recruiting and choosing unique gift vendors and booths are in high demand.

“Every year we have a waiting list of vendor applicants, and this was another record-breaking year,”
Kelly said. “The enthusiastic support from our sponsors and our largest presenting sponsor, Northside
Hospital, allows us to offer a show that pleases even the most particular shoppers anxious to gift one-of-
a-kind and hand-made items.”

Kelly thanked her event chairs for Elegant Elf -- Society members Clanci Jordan, Pam Tyson, Mary Riddle and Melissa Patterson -- and said the organization is once again proud to offer this event as a way to convince shopper from around the country to spend their money locally.

“The Sandy Springs community truly shines from this event, and Society is thrilled to provide this fun, festive and worthwhile shopping experience for all," she added.
