When Tom Linder made the decision to build Elite Salon Studios, he envisioned twenty-five suites that would set the new standard for what was expected of a hair salon studio.
The Salon Studio concept is a welcomed alternative in the hair salon industry for both stylists and their clients because it offers local hair stylists a realistic path to owning their own salon because the salon is actually a boutique suite that averages 150 to 200 square feet. Each suite comes fully furnished with top-of-the-line equipment and custom cabinetry and is essentially its own hair salon. The reception from clients has been overwhelmingly positive because each session is a private experience that is more personalized than an often noisy hair salon.
Elite Salon Studios is located on the corner of Mount Vernon Hwy and Peachtree-Dunwoody Rd, adjacent to the Home Depot and Costco. Linder built the 1105 building in 2007 for mixed-use purposes and today it is home to Dunwoody Self Storage and Elite Salon Studios, both owned by Linder. During the planning stages of the building, he was very aware of the architectural history of the area and set out to build something that would complement and enhance the area.
"We wanted a beautiful building." states Linder. "This is Dunwoody and Sandy Springs, right along the line. Dunwoody has a particular look. Architecturally, you find the same theme over and over in North Atlanta, Dunwoody and Sandy Springs. It's a Georgian colonial mix of architecture which is beautiful, stately, and distinguished."
Elite's new salon suites represent where the salon industry is going. Tom Linder made sure that the Sandy Springs/Dunwoody area had the best that this industry has to offer.
