Storytime on the River: The Tremendous Tree

The suggested age range for this event is 5-11 years old (with parents) but all are welcome.

Ranger Larisa will lead a short walk along the river trail and then read to the group the beautifully illustrated,  The Tremendous Tree Book by Barbara Brenner and Mary Garelick. Upon returning to the visitor center, children will be shown how to identify a number of common trees and will learn interesting information about them.

Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. A bottle of water, snack, insect repellent and sunscreen are suggested.

The group will be sitting on the ground to listen to the book so guests may want to bring a small blanket to sit on.
