eVestment Donates Food Budget to Recognize World Hunger Day

eVestment helps raise awareness of world hunger with donation to MUST Ministries.

Two of the most popular perks of working at Atlanta-based eVestment are the free snacks and drinks in all company breakrooms and the catered team lunches every Wednesday. But while eVestment employees enjoy a variety of healthy snacks and free weekly lunches, more than 795 million people around the world do not have enough food to eat on a regular basis.

To recognize World Hunger Day on May 28 and help raise awareness of the issue among eVestment’s employees and the Atlanta community, eVestment offices around the world pooled their breakroom snack and team lunch budgets for the week of May 22 to donate the combined $5,000 to Marietta, Ga.-based MUST Ministries. MUST Ministries serves individuals and families in north Atlanta in need of food, shelter and other basic life necessities.

On Thursday June 1, eVestment co-founder and COO Matt Crisp (pictured right) presented MUST Ministries’ President and COO Dwight “Ike” Reighard (pictured left) with a check for $5,000.

This is one of several grassroots community events eVestment participates in each year. Other charitable efforts have included filling grocery bags for needy families, working with the local Junior Achievement organization to teach children about finance and investing and participating in local backpack drives.
