Fall Theater Classes Now Enrolling at Act3 Arts Academy

Act3 Arts Academy, the youth division of Act3 Productions in Sandy Springs, will conduct several classes for students in grades K through 12 beginning August 24.  All classes will be held at Act3 Playhouse in Sandy Springs Plaza, 6285 Roswell Road.  Former Act3 students have performed at the Alliance Theater, the Lyric Theater, and even the Broadway stage!  Enroll today at www.act3productions.org/classes.php or email michelle.act3@gmail.com for more information.

The fall classes are:

Dance for Musical Theater:  Mondays, August 24 through November 9, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. For grades four through 12. $185 for 10 weeks. Taught by award-winning choreographer Johnna Mitchell. This high-energy class prepares students for dance auditions and performances on the musical theater stage, as well as building confidence and stage presence. Students will learn routines from Broadway musicals in various genres of choreography.  Lessons are designed to benefit dancers of all levels.The class will conclude with a showcase for friends and family.

Take the Stage:  Wednesdays, August 26 through November 4, 4:30 to 6 p.m.  For grades K through 4.  $200 for 10 weeks.  Taught by Liane LeMaster and Lisa Hatt.  This fun-filled class combines the three aspects of musical theater--vocals, dance and acting.  Participants learn technique of musical theater performance, songs, dance numbers, and scene study.  For those preparing for auditions, this class will give them a competitive edge!  Students will leave with ample material for professional or community theater auditions.  The class concludes with a showcase for friend
