This year's event will feature an exciting visit from The New York Times best-selling author Mary Kay Andrews, who is slated to release a new cookbook in early May. She also plans to offer samples from some of her favorite recipes.
"The Beach House Cookbook" is a compilation of choice recipes from the author herself, friends and families. From an early spring dinner of cherry balsamic-glazed lamb chops with bacon-kissed green beans to July 4th buttermilk-brined fried chicken, yuppie potato salad and Coca-Cola cake, this cookbook offers menus and recipes to put you in a coastal state of mind all year long.
“I look forward to sharing the cookbook with Food That Rocks attendees, and bringing a bit of Tybee Island to Sandy Springs,” Andrews said.
Andrews will be selling and signing books, with a percentage of proceeds benefiting the three Food That Rocks designated charities: Second Helpings, Ian’s Friends Foundation and the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance.
Food That Rocks is presented by the Sandy Springs Restaurant Council and Taste of Atlanta.
