Fulton Back To School Pep Rally Set For July 22

The event will be held at two locations: North Springs Charter High School in Sandy Springs and Banneker High School in College Park.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- We are just three weeks away from the start of the 2017-18 school year in Fulton County, and the school system wants to help parents do possible to ensure their little ones are ready.

Fulton's Back To School Pep Rally will be held at two locations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 22: Banneker High School at 6015 Feldwood Road in College Park and North Springs Charter High School at 7447 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs.

The event is designed to give parents the chance to register new students, students who have moved, homeless students and those who are transitioning to the next level in preparation for the first day of school on Aug. 7.

The event also includes a health fair for all parents, with more than 50 vendors (22-25 per location), school supplies and a food pantry donated by sponsors and health screenings and other resources provided by district partners and supporters.

Some of the vendors that will be on hand include Amerigroup, Atlanta Community Food Bank, Kaiser Permanente, Fulton County Health Department, Girl Scouts of America, Odyssey Counseling Center, WellStar, Drake House and World Changers Church International.

Door prizes including gift cards, bicycles and Amazon Kindles will be distributed.
