Fulton County Animal Services Takes in Over 655 Animals During August, "Fall in Love" Free Adoption Special Going Strong and Our Pets of the Week

All adoptions of cats, kittens, puppies, and dogs at Fulton County Animal Services will be made free of charge during the month of September

by Karen Hirsch

The high number of animals coming into Fulton County Animal Services (FCAS) during the summer – over 655 in August alone -- has prompted LifeLine Animal Project (the organization which manages the shelter), to offer a free pet adoption promotion called “Fall in Love.” During the month of September, LifeLine invites you to celebrate the onset of fall by adopting any dog, puppy, cat or kitten for FREE at FCAS!

Adoption counselors will be on hand to ensure the animals are being placed in good homes. According to numerous studies which monitored adopted pets for over a year, fee-waived promotions increase adoptions without compromising the quality of care that the animals receive. All September, adopters will receive a dog or cat that has been spayed or neutered, has had all vaccines and is microchipped – a $200 value – for FREE! To view animals available for adoption, or for the shelter’s address and phone number, please go to FCAS or visit us online at www.fultonanimalservices.com/adopt.

Fulton County Animal Service Pet of the Week: Nana

Meet Nana, an amazing girl who came into the shelter homeless and pregnant. Someone cropped poor Nana’s ears, but that hasn’t stopped this staff favorite from being super loving and sweet. Nana is good natured and wants nothing more than to give and receive affection. Staff say that when you pet Nana, she grunts and snorts in appreciation. She is good with kids and gets along great with other dogs too. And you can adopt Nana during September for no fee! If you can give Nana the loving home that she deserves, you’ll get this special girl and $200 worth of services, including spay, vaccines, microchip and more, for FREE! To meet Nana, please contact Kerry at 404-613-9157 or email her at: kmoyershorton@fultonanimalservices.com. To view dogs or cats available for adoption, please visit the shelter at 860 Marietta Blvd NW, Atlanta, 30318 or go to www.fultonanimalservices.com/adopt.
