Portions of the count will focus on single women with children, youth and other unsheltered homeless individuals who are sleeping in outdoor locations such as sidewalks, parks, encampments and under bridges.

The Point in Time Count will also include all of the sheltered homeless individuals, who are staying in emergency shelters and transitional housing programs.

In north Fulton County, volunteers can report to North Fulton Community Charities at 11270 Elkins Road in Roswell. In south Fulton, residents can report to either 5134 Old National Highway Suite C in College Park or the Fairburn Travel Center at 7860 Senoia Road in Fairburn.

The Homeless Count is crucial for tracking the success of local efforts to end homelessness in north, south and unincorporated Fulton County and essential for planning future efforts. Volunteers will help to identify these vulnerable groups by conducting surveys that provide demographic characteristics, homeless history, homeless experiences and other vital information.

Volunteers should arrive at site locations by 9:30 p.m. The count of people sleeping on the street/outdoors will be conducted between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m.
