Fulton To Provide Free Eye Exams, Glasses To Children

Four days of free screenings and eye exams will be held July 10-13 at areas around the county, including Sandy Springs.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Vision To Learn estimates that 24,000 school-age youth need eyeglasses in the city of Atlanta and Fulton and Dekalb counties.

With this in mind, Fulton County's Certified Public Manager Program is collaborating with Vision To Learn —supported by the Atlanta Hawks Foundation and Chick-fil-A Foundation —to launch Vision To Learn’s free eye exams and free eyeglasses program in Georgia beginning this month.

The eye-screening program seeks to meet the needs of children who are at risk of poor academic performance because of vision problems.
