Fulton Schools Hardship Transfer Applications Are Due By Feb. 17
Starting Jan. 1, parents of Sandy Springs students in the Fulton County School System can go online to obtain a form.

The deadline for parents of students in the Fulton County School System to apply for a 2015-16 hardship transfer or to renew a current hardship to another elementary, middle or high school is two months away.
Applications will be made available online beginning Jan. 1, 2015, and the deadline for submitting a transfer application is by 4:30 p.m. Feb. 17, with no exceptions or extensions granted. All requests must be received or postmarked by this date and time.
Parents will use an online form via the Student Assignment Office’s website, to enter and submit their information. Hard copy applications are not required this year, with the exception of medical transfers which require pertinent medical provider’s signatures and documentation.

The Feb. 17 deadline applies to students and parents seeking a hardship transfer for medical reasons, curriculum differences and/or child care situations. School system employees’ children who want to submit or renew a hardship transfer request have the same deadline.
Schools participating in open enrollment, a separate transfer process that allows students to move to a school with available space, will be announced in early May.
