Fulton Schools To Host Career Fairs To Recruit Teachers
These face-to-face career fairs will be held in September and October across three of the system's learning communities.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- The Fulton County School System will hold four career fairs in September and October in an effort to bring teaching talent into the district. As a new approach that started last year, these face-to-face career fairs are being planned in three of Fulton’s learning communities – Central, South and Achievement Zone.
Organized geographically, the learning community structure allows for a decentralized approach to school management and provides schools the opportunity to work more closely together and align resources, the system said.
This approach also helps the district to recruit candidates who have talents or skills that are in more need in a specific geographic area while also helping candidates who want to focus their job search on a certain school or city.

The career fairs focus on assessing potential candidates for existing and future positions, with some interview opportunities occurring that day. Experienced teachers as well as recent and soon-to-be-graduates are encouraged to attend to learn more about employment with Fulton County Schools. The learning community approach also will give prospective teachers a glimpse into the community partners, vendors and leaders that serve in that specific area, giving the candidate a chance to experience the culture and opportunity beyond what a traditional career fair would offer.
Special education, foreign language, elementary education, math, science ESOL, art and music are among the top areas being recruited. Applicants should bring copies of their resume, teaching certificate, and/or GACE scores.
