The ribbon cutting for the North Learning Center will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 450 Northridge Parkway.

The building, which was renovated last spring, is the North Fulton site for school board meetings and also the location for professional development trainings, the FCSTV cable and broadcast studio, and the Central, Northeast and Northwest Learning Community offices.

The North Learning Center is one of three buildings that now house the central administrative functions of the Fulton County School System.

Last spring, the district closed six aging facilities to consolidate into three. The main Administrative Center opened in March, and a South Learning Center is under construction adjacent to Banneker High School. It will eventually serve as the South Fulton location for school board meetings, professional development trainings, the South Learning Community office and other district administrative functions.

Slated to attend Tuesday’s ceremony include interim Superintendent Kenneth Zeff, Linda McCain, president of the Fulton County School Board and other school board members, Sandy Springs Mayor Rusty Paul and other city council members and Deputy Superintendent of Operations Patrick Burke.
