Ga. 400 Entrance Ramps To I-285 To Close Aug. 21-25

The closures will take place at night from Monday, Aug. 21 to Friday, Aug. 25 for geotechnical investigations, Georgia DOT said.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Weather permitting, construction partners for the Georgia Department of Transportation will close the S.R. 400 southbound entrance ramps to Interstate 285 eastbound and westbound this week for geotechnical investigations, the agency said Monday.

Traffic will be detoured with signage indicating the route to follow, and uniformed police officers will assist with traffic control.

The closure for the S.R. 400 southbound entrance ramp to I-285 westbound will take place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21 to Wednesday, Aug. 23 (SIGN UP: Get Patch's Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts. Or, if you have an iPhone, download the free Patch app).

Motorists traveling on GA-400 southbound to I-285 westbound will be directed to exit at the Glenridge Connector and to take S.R. 400 northbound to continue to the I-285 westbound exit.

The closure planned for S.R. 400 southbound to I-285 east will run from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 24 to Friday, Aug. 25. Motorists traveling on GA-400 southbound to I-285 eastbound will be also be detoured to exit at the Glenridge Connector and to use S.R. 400 northbound to access the I-285 eastbound exit.
