Gas Station Robbery Under Investigation In Sandy Springs
The male subject was able to take $1,000 in currency Nov. 25 from Exxon at 8325 Roswell Road.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Detectives with the Sandy Springs Police Department are investigating a robbery of a convenience store reported late last month. Officers were dispatched around around 10 a.m. Nov. 25 to Exxon at 8325 Roswell Road and met with an employee, who recounted the incident to authorities.
The clerk said the male subject walked into the store, made his way to the counter and passed a note to the employee indicating "he had a gun and (the clerk) was to put the money from the register into a bag," an incident report states. The employee did what he was told, and placed small bills and coins into a plastic bag.
"The complainant stated he never witnessed a gun," the report adds. "However, the suspect had his hand in his pocket and noticed an object protruding from inside the pocket towards him, which led him to believe was a gun."

Police say the male subject left the store with about $1,000 in currency and also took the clerk's cell phone. He was seen running eastbound on Northridge Road and last observed behind the Waffle House. According to the report, the complainant told police his cousin, who was working at the gas station, was robbed in a similar manner on Dec. 10, 2016.
The subject is described as a black male with a medium build and moles on his face. He was wearing a yellow "sports-type hat," black jacket, faded blue jeans, black shoes and an orange towel that was tucked into his back pocket, the report adds.
