GDOT To Close GA 400 Lanes For Northridge Road Project

The state agency will once again close lanes this week on S.R. 400 at Northridge Road in Sandy Springs for the interchange's reconstruction.

Motorists traveling on S.R. 400 this week will once again have to abide by lane closures.

The reconstruction of the the interchange at Northridge Road in Sandy Springs will require overnight lane closures tonight through Friday, Nov. 14. Weather permitting, two of four northbound and two of four southbound lanes will be closed simultaneously for the construction of a new bridge.

The work will be confined to overnight hours.

The schedule is as follows:

  • 10 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10 to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11;
  • 10 p.m. Tuesday, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12;
  • 10 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday Nov. 13;
  • 10 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14; and
  • 10 p.m. Friday, to 5 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15.

The closures will involve the inside (left) northbound and southbound lanes at the interchange. Motorists are advised to slow down and proceed with caution through this area, as workers and heavy equipment will be in close proximity to the roadway.
