This weekend’s Elegant Elf Marketplace will give residents a chance to get a head start on their Christmas shopping.

The event, presented by The Sandy Springs Society, is a festive high-end gift market that showcases over 70 local and regional artists, gourmet food purveyors and distinctive gift vendors in jewelry, handcrafted fashions, fine crafts, home and garden, handbags, toys and more.

A fundraiser for Sandy Springs Society, this year’s market will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8 at Lake Forrest Elementary School. Specifically, proceeds will be pumped back into the community to support education, the arts, the environment, heritage preservation and social services.

Money will also be given to Lake Forrest Elementary to help pay for studnet field trips during the 2015-16 school year.

The entrance fee is $5, but free for children 10 and under. Lake Forrest Elementary School is located at 5920 Sandy Springs Circle.
