Get Your Taxes Done for Free at CAC!

Get your income tax returns prepared and filed for free at the Community Assistance Center (CAC)! Meet with our team of trained and certified volunteer tax preparers available through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, an initiative of the IRS and the United Way. CAC's tax volunteers ensure the use of all eligible tax credits for maximum refunds and proper filing with Uncle Sam! The service is available to any household in the Atlanta area earning up to $55,000 in 2017. Appointments are required.

The Community Assistance Center (CAC) brings together the Sandy Springs and Dunwoody communities to provide compassionate assistance to neighbors in need by providing financial support, helping to meet basic needs and promoting self-reliance. CAC works to prevent homelessness and hunger locally with the support of 28 congregations of all faiths, public and private grants, civic organizations, schools, businesses and individuals. Supporters provide financial resources, in-kind donations and volunteer manpower.
