Goodwill To Open New Sandy Springs Store Next Week
The store at 237 Johnson Ferry Road will close Sunday and will reopen Jan. 8 in its new location at 6650 Roswell Road.

Goodwill of North Georgia is preparing to relocate its Sandy Springs store.
The existing store at 237 Johnson Ferry Road will close its doors on Sunday, Jan. 4 and will reopen in its new space at 6650 Roswell Road at 9 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8.
The new location will also include an area where donors can drive up and make donations, the company said in a press release. Goodwill will celebrate its new home with a grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony.

Goodwill Director of Public Relations Elaine Armstrong said the company will hold drawings for gift certificates every hour during the celebration Jan. 8-11.
The store will reopen with a new set of donated goods, so from now until Sunday, shoppers at the Johnson Ferry location can purchase items at 75 percent off.

Armstrong added current team members will keep their jobs and will be transferred to the new location, which is less than one mile from the Johnson Ferry Road store.
The Johnson Ferry Road store is the location where Sandy Springs is embarking on its City Center project.
The City Council in December voted to proceed with eminent domain proceedings if continued negotiations with parcel owners Flambeau Realty, Inc. and Straus Irma Realty Corp. are not successful.
“Our goal is to continue to serve the residents of Sandy Springs so we decided to proactively seek an alternate location,” Armstrong added. “We’re thankful for the support the city of Sandy Springs and its residents have shown us over the years, and we look forward to serving them in our new home.”
