Google Fiber Unveils Prices, Options for Internet, TV in Sandy Springs

Google Fiber is getting closer to becoming a reality in Sandy Springs.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Like a lot of folks, Patch has been anxiously awaiting details regarding Google Fiber's ultra high-speed internet offerings.

Sandy Springs is one of several metro Atlanta communities that the tech giant is targeting for expansion.

Well, according to Google Fiber's Atlanta website, the company is unveiling some pricing plans and programs, and it appears that the company will be offering a TV service as well:

Fiber 1000 + TV

Fiber 1000 Gigabit Internet

Besides Sandy Springs, Google Fiber is also coming to Smyrna, Avondale Estates, Decatur and Brookhaven, as well as College Park, East Point and Hapeville.

No word yet on when Google will actually begin installing its service into actual residences. But its obvious from the plans and prices above that the company intends to be a serious competitor to established giants like Comcast, AT&T and XFinity in metro Atlanta.
