Healthy Youth USA secures Zoo Atlanta as it's December fundraiser venue

Zoo Atlanta Becomes Healthy Youth USA's fundraising venue. The popular foundation will hold it's fundraiser at Zoo Atlanta this year.

It's been 2 years since the last Black Tie Fundraiser benefiting The Healthy Youth USA Foundation. Finally, the foundation is ready to get fancy again and gather as much support from the community, parents of served children and friends to celebrate 10 years of the After School Club and programs of the foundation.

2006 served as the first year of "The After School Club", Healthy Youth USA's signature program. With only 20 children enrolled that year, the after school program provided sports enrichment and mentorship to children who attended the North Springs community elementary schools. Today, the program has expanded tremendously providing year round services to families in need of after school hours programs.

The Healthy Youth USA Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the lives of youth and furthering positive youth development through mentorship, arts initiatives and recreational enrichment. We additionally educate families, communities and organizations on the benefits on out of school time programs to children and communities, and encourage collaboration among community partners to enhance program development. In 2014, we were chosen to be an Out of School Time, enrichment provider by the Alliance for a Healthier generation. It is the foundations goal to have a successful evening on December 3 to help fund the continuing programs through the rest of the school year.

Zoo Atlanta was chosen as this year's venue due to it's uniqueness and ability to provide a wow factor to the mundane fundraising events many attend each year. The fundraising committee worked hard to find a solution providing an event many of their usual supporters could get excited about. Healthy Youth USA feels that many people in the North Springs community don't travel into the city very often and this may offer that exciting night out! Healthy Youth hopes that a great crowd of local Sandy Springs residents show up at Zoo Atlanta to enjoy!
