With another school year drawing to a close, your child may be looking forward to some well-deserved time off. And if he or she wants to play team sports in the coming school year, there’s no better time than summer to reach those important fitness goals.
That’s where Rookies Sports Academy, a division of SNAP Fitness at 220 Sandy Springs Circle, can help.
Rookies offers youth personal training and sports-specific training for ages 10 to 18. With 20 years of experience in the fitness industry working with young athletes, Coach Matt Michaelides and his team are excited to offer this next level of training and conditioning.

Parents can feel confident trusting Coach Matt with their children’s fitness needs. This father of two has more than 20 years’ experience in running youth sports leagues at Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Buckhead, where he also taught sports-specific skills to children ages 2 to18. Coach Matt has earned the International Youth Conditioning Association certification to specifically and safely train kids 5 to 18.
The programs at Rookies Sports Academy are offered either as a personal, one-on-one session or in a small group format. Athletes will be provided with a training program specifically tailored to their individual needs as an athlete and for their sport. Areas of focus are flexibility, strength, agility, speed development, change of direction, quickness, body weight strength and explosiveness.
