Hilderbrand Drive Intersections To Close For Utility Work

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Starting Monday, motorists who rely on a segment of Hilderbrand Drive in Sandy Springs will want to find an alternate route.

That's because utility work will require closures on the road between Sandy Springs Circle and Blue Stone Road during the week of May 23, the city said Friday.

Motorists can expect the following closures:

• Monday, May 23 to Tuesday, May 24: Intersection of Sandy Springs Circle and Hilderbrand Drive. For a detour, motorists will be able access Hildebrand Drive from Roswell Road or Blue Stone Road.
• Wednesday, May 25 to Friday, May 27: Intersection of Hilderbrand Drive and Blue Stone Road. To detour around the closure, motorists can access Hilderbrand Drive from Roswell Road or Blue Stone Road. Access only to local businesses west of Blue Stone Road will be permitted using Sandy Springs Circle.

Driveways to all businesses will be accessible, and retailers in the area are open for business during the construction period.

Signage will also be in place to assist motorists traveling through the area. Residents should note the closure is weather permitting and subject to change.
