Household Hazardous Waste Day Comes To Sandy Springs
The city will partner with Keep North Fulton Beautiful for the free event, which will be held Saturday, June 17.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- If you have paint and other household hazardous products tucked away in dark corners of your garage, basement or cabinets, an event hosted by the city of Sandy Springs will soon provide you with a chance to dump those items at no charge.
The city is partnering with Keep Sandy Springs Beautiful to host a Household Hazardous Waste Day for its residents. The event, scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 17, will give you a safe way to dispose of paint and other materials.
The collection drive will be held at the Morgan Falls Athletic Fields at 450 Morgan Falls Road.

The following items will be accepted:
- Paints (15 gallon limit)
- Solvents
- Cleaners
- Aerosols
- Herbicides
- Pesticides
- Motor oil
- Anti-freeze
- Cooking fats, oils and grease
You can also bring pool chemicals, items containing mercury, propane cylinders, fire extinguishers and smoke detectors for proper disposal.

Please do not bring:
- Electronics (accepted at Keep North Fulton Beautiful recycling center during normal business hours)
- Medical waste
- Needles
- Explosives
- Ammunition
- Pharmaceuticals
- Non-hazardous items.
This event is open to Sandy Springs residents only (no businesses or contractors please). Registration is required and can be done by visiting Keep North Fulton Beautiful's website.
