Intown Atlanta

In addition, you’ll be happily situated near a number of charming outdoor cafes, parks, and historic homes that will bring back some of that old southern charm of yesteryear. Suburbia

Atlanta is a major metropolis full of people from all kinds of culture. There are a lot of suburbs in this sprawling city that can provide you an apartment home that will be perfect for your lifestyle. If you’re more the suburban type you might want to choose an area that will be close to your work or at least close to public transportation. As the Atlanta Newcomer’s Guide explains,

“Atlanta is a sprawling city with lots of suburbs and lots of traffic. One of the first decisions you’ll want to make is if you want to live Intown or in the suburbs. If you’ve already found a job in Atlanta, that will probably help you make your decision.”

If you choose to live in suburbia you’ll definitely have to consider your commute to work or school. The location of your new apartment home should not only provide you with the amenities you need but the location should be able to minimize your travel to and from the areas you want to be. Finding something near some of the major thoroughfares or a Marta station can make a major difference in the quality of your life.

How to Decide

Both Intown and Suburban Atlanta have a lot to offer so you may have a hard time making a decision. Aside from factoring in your daily commute you’ll need to consider the cost of renting in each of these neighborhoods. While living in Intown may be more convenient and give you easy access to everything you need it doesn’t come without a price. If you’re going to be limited to a tight budget this fact may have a major bearing on your final decision. Living in the suburbs can provide families with better options at an affordable price but decide what it will cost you in transportation costs to get to the places you need to be. You might find that paying the extra rent to live Intown is worth it after all.

If you have a family, you’ll also want to check out the different school districts in the Atlanta area. This could also help you to make a final decision on the neighborhood that will work best for you.

Choosing where to live in Atlanta does not have to be difficult but you do have to do your due diligence in finding the right apartment home. According to the guide Expat Arrivals, a guide to help expats in their move to Atlanta,

“When deciding on which area or suburb in Atlanta to choose, expats need to consider the proximity to their work place, children’s schools and access to public transport. Atlanta is notorious for heavy traffic and therefore the commute time to work and other amenities is an important consideration.”

No matter how beautiful or perfect your new apartment home is you want to make sure that you can get to and from there without too much hassle. Choose a neighborhood such as Nevadan Apartments that can place you where you need to be and everything else will fall right into place.
