Hurricane Dorian Georgia: Tyler Perry Sends Supplies To Bahamas
TMZ reports that Atlanta mogul Tyler Perry has used his personal plane to deliver supplies and bring back injured people from the Bahamas.

ATLANTA, GA — Days after entertainment magnate Tyler Perry vowed to help rebuild the Bahamas, which bore Hurricane Dorian's deadly brunt this week, he started working on that promise.
TMZ reported Thursday, Sept. 4 that Perry used his "personal seaplane based in Nassau to fly relief supplies to the Abaco Islands (part of the Bahamas), which were the hardest hit by the hurricane." The plane made two trips Thursday, and Perry said he's hoping to send several more shipments, TMZ said.
The deliveries included water, juice, sleeping bags, diapers, various hygiene products and other necessities, TMZ said. On the return trips, Perry "brought back seven passengers, including small children, a pregnant woman and others who needed medical attention."

Dorian began lashing the Florida coast with winds Tuesday, leaving catastrophic damage as it slowly crawled toward the U.S. Eastern Seaboard downgraded to a Hurricane 2 storm but still packing winds in excess of 100 mph.
The storm has killed at least five people in the Bahamas and caused widespread destruction on the islands as it slowly but forcefully churned toward the Southeast United States, where mandatory evacuations were ordered in several areas in advance of one of the Atlantic's most powerful storms on record.

Videos showed floodwaters just below battered rooftops in the Abaco Islands, in the northern Bahamas, and emergency responders said thousands of homes were damaged or destroyed. The storm all but stalled over Grand Bahama, where heavy flooding was also forecast.
