Hydrant Installation Will Interrupt Water Service On Windsor Parkway

The installation, set to start at 9 a.m. July 12, will affect customers on the thoroughfare between Powderhorn Road and Northland Drive.

Crews with the Atlanta Department of Watershed Management on Sunday perform a hydrant installation at the intersection of Windsor Parkway and Northway Drive in Sandy Springs.

Work is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. and continue for about 8 hours, the department said. Drivers are advised to use caution in the work zone.

Additionally, the work will require the interruption of water service for customers along Windsor Parkway between Powderhorn Road and Northland Drive, as well as East Powderhorn Road, Hitching Post Trail, Northway Drive, Northway Lane, Northland Court, Northland Drive, Landmark Drive, Westfalia Court and Old House Trail.

Customers are encouraged to perform major water uses such as clothes washing, dish washing and bathing prior to the service interruption, and to store away water for drinking, hand washing, flushing, cooking and other household uses during interruption of service.
