ICYMI: Mt. Vernon Transit Study Open House On Nov. 14
The city of Sandy Springs will lay out an overview of a study exploring transit alternatives along the corridor.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- The city of Sandy Springs on Tuesday will host an open house to allow residents to provide feedback on its Mt. Vernon Highway Transit Study. The input session will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church.
City staff will lay out an overview of the study currently underway on transit alternatives along the corridor. The study is part of the city's plan to improve mobility between its future downtown and the Perimeter Center.
Sandy Springs is studying the potential for new transit service along and near Mt. Vernon Highway with the goal of creating travel options between City Springs and the Sandy Springs MARTA station in the Perimeter Center.

The project is included in the Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax program approved by voters in Sandy Springs and Fulton County as part of a referendum passed in November 2016.

The input meeting will be held in Fellowship Hall at Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church, which is at 471 Mount Vernon Highway.
