The event featuring the creative handiwork of local schools and groups will be on display throughout December at Heritage Sandy Springs.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- A month-long holiday celebration of the talent of local artists, schools and businesses will begin Sunday in Sandy Springs. The opening ceremony for Sparkle Sandy Springs will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Heritage Sandy Springs Entertainment Lawn.

You can expect to enjoy performances from local choral groups, a fire pit, refreshments and other goodies at the event, which is open to the public.

Local schools, artists and businesses received a 7-foot-tall wooden house to paint in a festive, whimsical theme. These houses and the surrounding lawn area will be decorated with lights, allowing visitors to casually stroll through each unique creation. The display will be up through Dec. 31.
