Sparkle Sandy Springs features a holiday village of six-foot-tall wooden houses painted in holiday themes with lights to walk through.
SANDY SPRINGS, GA — The City of Sandy Springs will light up the holidays with a new festive tradition. The City will host its inaugural Sparkle Sandy Springs Holiday Parade on Sunday. The Parade will step off at 5:30 p.m. near the Heritage water tower, marching along Mount Vernon, concluding with a tree lighting at City Springs. The festive floats will light up the night sky as a prelude to the third annual Sparkle Sandy Springs celebration.
“It was on the wish list of the city’s founding Mayor Eva Galambos for the community to have its own parade," Sandy Springs Mayor Rusty Paul said. "City Springs provides the perfect gathering spot for both spectators and to host the festive holiday village creating a magical holiday sparkle for everyone to enjoy.”
Sparkle attendees might catch a glimpse of an extra special guest as he checks his list one last time. Hot chocolate and cookies will help keep spectators warm before the parade. The night will end with the twinkling lights coming to life for the first time this holiday season. Sparkle Sandy Springs features a holiday village of artfully displayed six-foot-tall wooden houses painted in holiday themes and adorned with lights creating a magical, walkable light display that visitors can stroll through all season long.
