SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Five new Jamba Juice locations in metro Atlanta awarded $500 grants to local schools and youths who express a commitment to protecting the environment and sustainable living.

Franchisees at five stores on Saturday, April 23 also awarded garden grants to coincide with Earth Day. The awards include curriculum books, a $350 Gardener’s Supply gift certificate and $100 cash to be used to purchase soil amendments and fruit and vegetable plantings.
Recipients were recognized for promoting good health and protecting the environment through gardening.

The garden grant awards also coincided with the grand opening events held at each of the stores. Franchises participating in the awards include:
- 6623 Roswell Rd Suite J, Sandy Springs
- 4305 State Bridge Road Suite 103, Alpharetta
- 4279 Roswell Rd NE Suite 201, Atlanta
- 2052-B N. Decatur Road, Decatur
- 4101 Roswell Road Suite 304, Marietta
Schools awarded grants include Woodland Elementary School, Sandy Springs; Heards Ferry Elementary School, Sandy Springs; Murdock Elementary School, Marietta; Mount Vernon Presbyterian School, Founders Campus, Sandy Springs; and The Cloverleaf School, Decatur.
