L’Chaim Sandy Springs! Exhibit Opens At Temple Sinai

Originally unveiled at the Sandy Springs Festival, the exhibit celebrates Jewish contributions to the city.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Heritage Sandy Springs, the nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the cultural identity of the city it serves, unveiled its newest community exhibit during at the 32nd annual Sandy Springs Festival.

If you missed a chance to check out "L’Chaim Sandy Springs! A Toast to Jewish Participation in Our City," you can now make a trip to Temple Sinai to see the many contributions of the Jewish community to Sandy Springs.

Using a series of nine oversized panels designed in the popular Instagram® interface, this exhibit highlights the Jewish community’s growth and impact on the civic richness of Sandy Springs. The two-sided panels feature photographs and interviews with area leaders and community members. Sandy Springs is home to many Jewish organizations, including six synagogues, five Jewish day schools and the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust.

The exhibit recently opened at Temple Sinai, where it will remain through Jan. 5, 2018, before traveling to The Weber School. The exhibit will travel for three years to locations throughout Sandy Springs. The full schedule can be found online.

Thanks to generous grants by the Sandy Springs Society, Fulton County Arts and Culture, Georgia Humanities and the Southern Jewish Historical Society, there is no charge to host the exhibit. Heritage Sandy Springs is happy to help with delivery, installation, and pick-up. Interested parties should complete the online form available here.
