SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- A geotechnical investigation related to the Lake Forrest Dam will require the city of Sandy Springs to roll out lane closures along Lake Forrest Road.  City contractors will perform geotechnical sampling of the structure, resulting in a single lane closure on the road between between Forrest Lake Drive NW and Beverly Drive NW.  The closure will take place from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29 to Sunday, Sept. 4.  Motorists can expect to see traffic control measures, including proper signage and flaggers, to help guide residents around the work zone.   Residents will have access to their homes at all times during construction.
