Lane Closures Planned For Johnson Ferry Road, Sandy Springs Circle

The closures will start Feb. 1, and are related to the City Springs development project.

Sandy Springs, GA -- Starting next month, motorists who utilize Sandy Springs Circle and Johnson Ferry Road will need to plan on adding more time to travel along that those streets.

That’s because lane closures will go into effect to accommodate construction activities next to the City Springs construction site.

Beginning Feb.1, the northern-most lane on Johnson Ferry Road from Ferry Drive to just before Sandy Springs Circle will be closed Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Flagmen will direct the traffic flow at that closure, which is expected to be in effect throughout the month, weather permitting.

Starting Feb. 15, one lane on Sandy Springs Circle from Mt. Vernon Highway to Johnson Ferry Road will also close. The lane closure will shift as crews work north-to-south along Sandy Springs Circle.

Access to the Springs Landing Shopping Center will remain available throughout this construction period. Construction is part of a phased program taking place as part of the City Springs development project.

Message boards will be in place, and motorists are urged to plan for a slower pace and use added caution when driving in that area.

Residents are also encouraged to check the City’s Road Work Advisory website and the city’s Sandy Springs Works mobile app for updates.
