Lane Closures Planned To Remove Hazardous Trees

Crews will work from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4 and Tuesday, Jan. 5 in Sandy Springs.

Sandy Springs, GA -- Lane closures will take place along two roads next week to accommodate plans to remove hazardous trees in Sandy Springs.

According to the city’s Facebook page, the contractor will remove trees in the following locations:

  • 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4: 510 Mount Vernon Highway (near the Mount Vernon Presbyterian School entrance); and
  • 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5: Northridge Road’s turn lane to the southbound GA-400 entrance ramp.

The work was initially planned to take place Thursday, Dec. 31. Motorists are encouraged slow down when traveling through these areas or find an alternate route.
