Lane Closures Start Feb. 26 For Transform 285/400 Project

The closures will run nightly from Feb. 26 to March 3 along a segment of I-285 in Sandy Springs and DeKalb County.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Weather permitting, the Georgia Department of Transportation will close lanes along Interstate 285 as part of the massive project to rebuild the highway's interchange with S.R. 400.

One right lane will close nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 26 and Monday, Feb. 27 on I-285 westbound between Glenridge Road and Roswell Road.

You can also expect to see one right lane close from 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27 to 6 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28 on the I-285 eastbound exit ramp to Roswell Road.

Finally, one right lane will close on I-285 eastbound from the Long Island Drive underpass to just east of Ashford Dunwoody Road nightly from 8 p.m. Feb. 27 to Friday, March 3.

The closures are needed so contractors can perform drainage video inspection and geotechnical investigations as part of the project.

Exact dates may change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are asked to reduce their speed while traveling through work zones, pay attention and watch for workers.
