Leadership Sandy Springs Announces Class Of 2020
Leadership Sandy Springs is a development program that educates members about the community while they meet civic and business leaders.
SANDY SPRINGS, GA — Leadership Sandy Springs is proud to announce that 37 individuals have been selected to the Leadership Sandy Springs (LSS) Class of 2020, a 9-month leadership development program that educates members about the community, connects them with civic and business leaders across many sectors, and provides a springboard to further community engagement, contributing to a vibrant Sandy Springs.
The class will begin the first of nine program days on Oct. 3, when they delve into city government and regional partners at City Day. Last month they were formally introduced at the annual Kick Off Fiesta and then attended opening retreat Sept. 19-21, at Unicoi State Park in Helen, GA. The retreat allowed class members to better understand their individual strengths and opportunities for growth as leaders, to know Sandy Springs better (geographically, demographically, economically and politically), and to better get to know each other. The retreat was filled with physical and mental team-building activities and even a fun karaoke competition.
