LSS Board President Named Woman Of Distinction

The award is presented each year by the Sandy Springs/Perimeter Chamber of Commerce Women's Business Network.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — Andrea Settles, president of Leadership Sandy Springs Board of Trustees, was recently named a Woman of Distinction by the Sandy Springs/Perimeter Chamber of Commerce Women’s Business Network.

The award, which is presented each year at the Chamber's November luncheon, is bestowed upon a woman "who demonstrates exceptional leadership through professional endeavors and local community involvement," the Chamber states on its website. The honoree generously shares her time and talents, and demonstrates a sense of social responsibility while making a positive impact in the city, the Chamber adds.

Karen Trylovich, WBN chair and LSS alumna, presented the award and praised Settles for her community involvement and leadership. Settles is employed with Weinberg & Associates where she specializes in providing loan originations for small businesses and commercial real estate.

Settles serves on the Sandy Springs Hospitality and Tourism Board, co-chairs the Business and Civic section of the annual Sandy Springs Festival, participates as a mentor in the WBN’s mentoring program, serves on the Sandy Springs Restaurant Council, participates in the city’s civilian Fire Corp and is now training to be a part of the first Sandy Springs Volunteer Emergency First Responders. She is also a member of the National Council of Jewish Women.

Her involvement with Leadership Sandy Springs took root immediately after graduating with the Class of 2013 when she was nominated to the board. Since then, she has served on committees and volunteered for events. Settles said she's excited to partner with LSS Executive Director Jan Paul in taking the organization to the next level.
