Missing Sandy Springs Resident Located in DeKalb County (UPDATED)

James Hunt was reported missing last week when he walked away from a group home on Spalding Drive.

UPDATE at 4:59 p.m. April 26: Sandy Springs police have cancelled the Mattie's Call issued last week for James Hunt, 35.

Police spokesperson Sgt. Forrest Bohannon said Hunt was located unharmed in DeKalb County.

The Sandy Springs Police Department has issued a Mattie's Call to help locate a man reported missing late Wednesday evening.

James Hunt, 35, was last seen leaving a group home at 1105 Spalding Drive around 11:35 p.m. April 20, the agency said Thursday morning. Police say Hunt has been diagnosed with bipolar-schizoaffective disorder.

"He is not known to be aggressive, but has delusions of being other people," Sandy Springs police said, adding Hunt was last seen walking towards Dunwoody.

Hunt was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, but no shoes. He's described as a black male about 5'8'', weighs around 179 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair.
