Detectives with the Sandy Springs Police Department are investigating a shooting that took place Thursday evening in the northern part of the city.

Officers were dispatched just after 9:20 p.m. June 18 to 345 Winding River Drive, which sits off North River Parkway, said Sandy Springs police spokesperson Sgt. Forrest Bohannon.
The 31-year-old male victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg, and was transported to Roswell’s North Fulton Hospital in stable condition.

Police have no information on a suspect and have not established a motive at this time, Bohannon added.
