The following information was taken from the Sandy Springs Police Department's Weekly Wrap Up.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Editor’s note: the following incidents were taken from the Sandy Springs Police Department’s Weekly Wrap Up compiled by Capt. Steve Rose, which contains some — not all — of the incidents that occurred June 14-22.

First this: In the early morning hours Thursday, officers responded to Glenforest Road on a theft from a car. They caller said he came home and found someone inside his roommate’s car. The man fled while the complainant called 9-1-1. Officers arrived within a minute and soon cornered the suspect hiding in the bushes at nearby 5730 Glenridge Drive. He was identified as the same man seen in the car earlier. Jamarl Quartez Kelly, 28, of Atlanta, was charged with entering auto as well as loitering and prowling. Our thanks to the caller who dialed 9-1-1 quickly and to Officers Blake “Opie” Zimmerman and Gabriella “Gabby” Gorham.

On June 10, officers met with a man who said his JBL speakers were missing. He said he had just seen his co-worker driving from the apartment complex. He knew the co-worker had a key to the apartment because his roommate had given him one. The complainant said although he did not see the co-worker remove the speakers, he asked his small dog if the suspect took the speakers and the dog replied “yes.”
